About NEFTU
The North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) is situated in a picturesque location of Aalo, an emerging hub of education and the headquarters of West Siang, a hilly and green district of Arunachal Pradesh. NEFTU is the earnest endeavour by a group of visionaries and educationists. It is a State Private University established under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, well versed to facilitate the students with quality education and higher study programs of national and international standards.
NEFTU has been established by Act 11 of 2014 of State Legislature, Arunachal Pradesh, as the first Private Technical University of the State. Arunachal Pradesh is the largest state (area wise) in the North-East region, considered to be the nature’s treasure of trove and home to more than six hundred species of orchids and exquisite blooms which are found in varied elevations and climatic conditions all over the state. Also, His Excellency Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is the Visitor of the University campus whenever he gets some leisure time.
NEFTU is sponsored by the Automobile Society of India, a registered charitable trust. The trust has been successfully running various institutions in the disciplines of Automobile Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
